Rockefeller Center
Rockefeller Center is a large complex consisting of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres between 48th and 51st Streets in New York City. Commissioned by the Rockefeller family, it is located in the center of Midtown Manhattan. The architectural mastermind behind Rockefeller Center was Raymond Hood, who, along with several other prominent architects, designed the buildings in a striking blend of Modern and Art Deco styles. The center is perhaps best known for its famous attractions such as the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, the ice skating rink, and the Radio City Music Hall.
